It has been eons since mrsfartball wrote. And now, the wedding day is only 28days away. Okay, mental note to herself to write more often.

Anyway the wedding preparations have not been easy. Thefartballs' stressful jobs n long hours leave them free only during weekends. Mrfartball literally works full day on saturdays. This means mrsfartball has gotta run the errands mostly by herself n have the man pick her up in the evening.

Let's look at the things done to date.

1. Dinner venues n rates - research by mrs. Mr brought along for site inspection, contract signing. Mrs the liaison between couple n hotel coordinator.

2. Bridal studio - drilling of sales staff, Gown selection x2, collection of gown for PS, mrandmrs. Settling of dispute, mr.

3. Pre marital checkup, mrandmrs.

4. Wedding bands - research n design done by mrs. Mr brought along to try sizes n for collection.

5. Photoshoot - PG research, liaison, arrangement for overseas PS taking (coordinate between hotel, PG, MUA, hotel and ferry and driver booking by mrs), PS selection, arrangement for PS printing by mrandmrs.

6. Cards - selection, wording, liaison, collection by mrs. Guestlist by mrandmrs. Pending cards distribution. To be confirmed seating arrangement.

7. Brothers/sisters teeshirts/dresses and corsages and thank you gifts. By mrs. Arrange to meet up.

8. Justice of peace - liaison and arrange to meet up. By mr. Esubmisson. By mrs.

9. Wine selection. Mrandmrs.

10. GDL - cakes ordering, items preparation,

11. New room preparation - bed shopping, dresser, ceiling fan, curtains. By mrandmrs

12. Reception, dessert bar, rom table. Labour intensive. By mrs!!

Mrfartball's latest hobby is to test mrsfartball's patience, then say "no la, there are better ways to die. Why would I wana put myself on the expressway to hell" then proceed to give that sideways mischievous glance.

Repeat above 271 times, mrsfartball told him "seems like your expressway has a lot of entrances n only one exit huh".

Repeat 272nd time, mrfartball challenged mrsfartball "people have BKE, PIE. What is mine?"

End of the world?

Mrsfartball met up with eil sis for lunch n BFF for dinner today. It's comforting to know that no matter how crappy the world gets, gfs will always be there to lend a listening ear n give objective opinions n comments.

Looking back, mrsfartball wonders why they used to think it was the end of the world when things dun work out (e.g falling in n terribly out of love with all the wrong guys, bad job, bad frens, all bad things). Little did they know that the right world had yet to come n with time, they'll learn to appreciate the finer things in life n learn to live with the imperfections.

Fast forward 10++ years later, they are now happily in love/found the right ones/have their own love nest/looking for their own love nest/totally know what they want or at least what they dun want. And best part, the BFF/sisterhood/friendships remain strong. How could they ever thought it was the end of the world?

Darling, life is just beginning.

BS dispute settled!

Yay! It's finally settled. To cut the long story short, mrfartball called up the BS n expressed his wife's displeasure with their service.

Mrsfartball then engaged another freelance PG n had the BS remove the BS PG and revised the BS package fee.

So well, though they'll be getting lesser items but at least all soft copies of photos taken will be returned to them. Not too bad a deal.

And mrsfartball has been busy preparing for the upcoming PS. Did they say they were going to Tempat Senang at Batam? It's this most lovely resort. They've booked two rooms there n are bringing the mothers along too.

Tea ceremony

It's kinda troublesome. The whole Chinese wedding tradition thingy. The groom has to bring one big basket of items containing red dates, pig trotters, mandarin oranges, wine, and 1000 other things to the bride's house. The bride has gotta prepare sewing kit, potty, and another 1000 other things. All to symbolize good luck n all the good things that are associated with weddings. Mrsfartball says, troublesome.

But well, being a chinese, there're just some customs that the elders would like the younger generation to follow. And though the younger ones have no idea what where why how, they just follow suit. For good luck n to make the elders happy.

Mrsfartball bought her cheongsam today. For the tea ceremony. Loves!

Bridal studio

So far, mrandmrsfartball had an okay experience at the bridal studio. Gowns were ok, fittings were ok.

Today they went to the BS for mrsfartball's trial makeup session. MUA was great. She communicated with mrsfartball on the different looks, exploring ways to enhance, giving her opinions, seeking her acceptance level of dramatic looks. And mrsfartball even confirmed her and requested to extend her services for the actual day dinner (to stay behind to assist with 2nd march in's makeup and hairstyle).

Then comes the PG who got mrfartball pretty mad. You see, mrandmrsfartball had decided to go to Batam to take their wedding pics (both indoors n outdoors). They had booked this lovely boutique hotel with different themes for each of their 7rooms. So prior to that, mrandmrsfartball had seeked the BS view on bringing the PG and MUA over for a day. The PG and MUA agreed, with a fee of course.

So mrandmrsfartball had agreed to pay and today when they visited the BS, all the PG was concerned abt was what time he has to reach and what time he has to leave. There was no communication on the style of the photos, the itinerary, but just what time he has to leave. So this got mrfartball pretty mad for there is no display of professionalism in this PG.

Hence mrandmrsfartball are thinking to drop this PG and seek the other BS PG's services. And if he displays the same attitude, then to drop the BS PGs all together and hire a freelance PG. And not let the BS earn any $$.

P.S. BS earns from additional photos selected. So more often than not, they get really pushy during the photo selection session. It costs $65/photo on top of the free 38 provided.

mrsfartball arranged to spend valentine's day with her super bff. mrfartball was agreeable since he knows how much bff times are impt to her. When she felt bit bad, He says, "Silly, Whr got guilty. Everyday spent and any other day upcoming that we will spend together will be better than Vday so what the big deal is feb 14? Haha"

Little did she know he planned a surprise for her. He had flowers delivered to her office. Something he hasn't done before

And just when she felt even more guilty, he surprised her at her place. Since mrsfartball decided to do valentines day with bff, mrfartball loitered around til she got home n surprised her below her home with starbucks choc and the next day's breakfast. He said, "how can I not wana spend the day with you when this is the last year you'll remain as my gf?"

Long time no write

Dear blog, It's been one long year since the last entry. How have u been? *hugs*

Some updates:
Mr and Mrs Fartball are getting married. It's how funny time flies when people are going through the happiest time of their life. In the last 1 year, thefartballs were basically hard at work. Though there was always the talk of marriage, it remained as talk since there was no real action i.e proposal on mrfartball's end.

9 May 2010 was mrfartball's birthday and mrsfartball decided to bring her man on a trip to Phuket.

So mrfartball decided to spring a surprise on her. With her good fren Eileen Ng in tow, he picked a ring for her. And tried to keep it a secret. He din really succeed for he has always been a poor liar. Hahahaha.

And so off they went to Phuket on 8 May 2010, and he gave himself a few scares along the way. On 9 May 2010, he became paranoid and after a whole day of trying-to-propose-but-could-not-find-the-right-moment, he did it back at the hotel room. Just before midnight. And of course she agreed and there were tears and hugs and solemn promises.

So the last 9months were spent being busy with work and wedding preparations. That sums up the update for last year.

They are now counting down to 30 Oct 2011. So pls join them!

P.S. the longshan temple is super good. mrs fartball got her wishes come true both times she prayed there.
